Abstract

Multielectron processes arising in electron-atom and ion-atom collisions are of great interest from both experimentalist’s and theoretician’s viewpoints. Among them are multiple excitation and ionization, multielectron capture by highly charged ions, ionization with simultaneous excitation of the target electrons and others. The present status of theory and experiment related to these processes will be considered in the following chapter.
