Abstract
All known forms of ejection of gaseous matter by stars ā either catastrophic explosions, resulting in speeds of the order of 1 000 km sā1 or continuous outflows of the same velocity ā cannot produce PNs, first of all, because of the impossibility of reducing such high speeds by two orders of magnitude.
