Magnetic Fields in Planetary Nebulae
Bipolarity is one of the most common structural features of PNs. Objects of this type have two bright “beads”, or regions of enhanced brightness, arranged symmetrically in relation to the nucleus. Examples of bipolar nebulae are given in Chap. 1 (Plate VII).
