Abstract
To understand the future of pharmaceuticals and health care in Japan, it is necessary to review current trends, to understand not only differences in systems, customs, and culture, but also the procedures used to reach conclusions and decisions. Thus this report is divided into three parts:
-
1.
The health care environment in Japan
-
2.
New product development and the Japanese pharmaceutical industry
-
3.
