Abstract
The well testing techniques described in Chaps. 6 and 7 provide very useful information about a number of aspects of the reservoir: the overall productive behaviour of the hydrocarbon-bearing intervals open to flow in each well; nearwellbore conditions (skin); and, by means of interference or pulse tests, the average permeability and porosity-compressibility product between wells.
