Abstract

In Section 5.3, the diffusivity equation for radial flow:

$$\frac{1}{r}\frac{\partial }{{\partial r}}\left( {\frac{k}{\mu }\rho r\frac{{\partial p}}{{\partial r}}} \right) = \phi {c_t}\rho \frac{{\partial p}}{{\partial t}}$$
(5.6)

was linearised for the case of slightly compressible fluids to the following form:

$$\frac{1}{r}\frac{\partial }{{\partial r}}\left( {r\frac{{\partial p}}{{\partial r}}} \right) = \frac{{\phi \mu {c_t}}}{k}\frac{{\partial p}}{{\partial t}}$$
(5.10)
