Abstract

The purpose of any kind of instruction is to effectively reach specific instructional objectives with regard to specific addressees and under specific constraints. Objectives are defined by using suitable methods of task analysis. In view of the importance of task analysis for instructional design, too little has been written about it. In this report 12 criteria for methods of useful representation of instructional tasks are developed and a general framework for the representation of instructional tasks (GRIP) is presented.
