Pauli-Forbidden States and the Levinson Theorem in α + α Scattering

The scattering of two α particles is reinvestigated in a microscopic cluster model with distorted internal wave functions. The wave function of each α particle is represented by a linear combination of the internal parts of (Os)4 harmonic oscillator Slater determinants with different parameters (four in the present case). Removing spurious c.m. components from the scattering wave function requires a double integral transformation [1]. The scattering asymptotic behaviour is obtained with the microscopic R-matrix method [2].
