Das klassische Recht kannte drei Arten des rechtsgeschäftlichen Eigentumserwerbs: zwei Formalgeschäfte, nämlich mancipatio und in iure cessio (oben § 9 II, III) sowie die formfreie Übergabe aufgrund eines gültigen Erwerbsgeschäfts (traditio ex iusta causa).
