Abstract

This paper concerns the methodology used to analyze the technology of the trucking industry and also its theoretical background. After having presented the theoretical background, the methodology itself and its particular application to the trucking industry are described. We also present three possible uses of this methodology: the analyses of returns to scale, productivity growth, and beneficiaries of regulation.
