Summary

Results are described of residual stresses in the ground state as delivered and plastic elongated specimens of (α + ß)-brass and (α+℘)-steel. The residual stresses were determined by X-ray-, ultrasonic- and magnetic methods. Additional investigations to separate the various influences on the measurements are indicated.
