Abstract

Here again the main problems are manufacturing defects. Fatigue cracks and corrosion fatigue require the same testing technique as the manufacturing defects because they usually are in the same position. Other in-service tests, such as determination of corrosion and wall thickness, are discussed in Chapter 32.1.
