Abstract
Blast furnace stoves are proven components for high temperature storage applications in steel plants. When storing heat energy, not only the energy itself but also the quality of the energy (high temperature) is important. The higher the temperature of the medium the higher the quality of the energy. As illustrated by the hot blast stove. it is indeed possible to store energy at a high temperature. It is therefore possible to operate a high temperature preocess.
