Zusammenfassung

Die radioaktiven Abfallstoffe aus Kernforschung und Kernenergie-Industrie können gasförmig, flüssig oder fest sein und fallen in jeder Phase vom Uranerzbergbau bis zur Verwendung spezifischer Radioisotope in Industrie, Forschung und Medizin an, wobei Menge, Aktivitätsniveau und Toxidität in weiten Grenzen variieren. Die Beseitigung dieser durch die Kernspaltung in großen Mengen anfallenden radioaktiven Abfallstoffe muß in einer Weise erfolgen, die jede Möglichkeit einer unzulässigen radioaktiven Verseuchung menschlichen Lebensraums ausschließt.
