Abstract

As a statistician long affiliated with the Faculty of Economics, University of Tokyo, I am able to talk here as a social scientist, concerned very much with the global warming problem. I am not, however, a specialist in any of the related scientific disciplines and I am mainly interested in the socio-political implications of global warming and policy issues which arise as a consequence.
