Abstract

Phenomena of cellular autophagy were studied in rat liver parenchymal cells under physiological and pathological conditions (ligation of a branch of the portal vein, partial hepatectomy). Morphological observations were carried out with the electron microscope and were complemented by means of enzyme cytochemical and quantitative studies.
