Abstract

In contrast to the other chapters of this book, here we will consider VLSI work mainly in terms of the programs and goals of other countries. Where technological issues are important, they will be discussed. For the most part, the technology for VLSI is the same everywhere; it has been dealt with in detail elsewhere.
