Zusammenfassung
Die Zahl der Austauschoperationen bei gelokkerten Hüfttotalprothesen ist im Ansteigen begriffen. Stellt man dem Ersteinbau von Hüfttotalprothesen die Zahl der Wechseloperationen gegenüber, so ergibt sich heute an unserer Klinik ein Verhältnis von 4: 1. Dies bedeutet in Zahlen ausgedrückt, daß derzeit jährlich ca. 80 Prothesenwechsel anfallen. Eigene Berechnungen anhand eines mathematischen Modells haben ergeben, daß sich der Anteil der Rearthroplastiken an unserer Klinik in den nächsten 8 Jahren verdoppeln wird: Im Jahr 1990 wird voraussichtlich bereits auf 2 Arthroplastiken 1 Rearthroplastik kommen.
