Zusammenfassung
Die Idee der isoelastischen Prothese d.h. eines Implantates, das ähnliche physikalische, im besonderen elastische Eigenschaften aufweist wie der Knochen, in dem es fixiert ist, basiert auf der bei der Frakturosteosynthese gemachten Beobachtung, daß rigide metallene Implantate auf den Knochen eine „Streßprotektion“ ausüben und dieser darauf mit Atrophie reagiert. Als Folge dieser lokalen Knochenatrophie könnte es dann später zu einer Lockerung des Implantates kommen.
