Abstract
Application of the John-Sachs theorem (cf. Theorem 9 of Chapter 3 and Paragraph 4.10.2) in order to produce determinant combinatorial formulas for the number of Kekulé structures (K) is among the methods outside the main lines of this book. Nevertheless, the method is very useful, and an extensive report on different determinant formulas, which have been derived, is warranted on this place.
