Zusammenfassung

Die Diskussion um die (Umwelt-)Schädlichkeit der polychlorierten Biphenyle (PCB’s) begann bereits vor über 20 Jahren. Auch die Kanzerogenität von PCB wird schon über 10 Jahre diskutiert (BAHN et al. 1976, BROWN & JONES 1977); doch immer noch wird PCB von der MAK-Kommission als IIIB-Stoff eingestuft, d.h. als Stoff mit vermutetem krebserzeugendem Potential, der der weiteren Abklärung bedarf.
