Early Detection and Cytology of Carcinoma in Situ
Great numbers of the so called carcinoma in situ have been detected by cyto-diagnosis of exfoliated cells of the cervix uteri. With increasing experience the intraepithelial malignant lesion was no longer understood as real cancer, but as a precancerous lesion, which precedes cervical cancer.
