Abstract

Conventional 2-DFT MR imaging of the hand and wrist usually requires image acquisition in the coronal and axial plane, and, in selected cases, also in the sagittal plane. When T1 and T2-weighted scans are generated, the total imaging and reconstruction time for 2-DFT MR imaging frequently amounts to significantly more than one hour. In this study, we evaluated the potential use of 3-DFT volume acquisitions in MR imaging of the wrist.
