Zusammenfassung

Der Ultraschalldarstellung des fetalen Kopfes kommt im Rahmen der geburtshilflichen Sonographie zentrale Bedeutung zu. So stellen einerseits diverse Meßparameter am kindlichen Schädel einen Eckpfeiler der fetalen Biometrie dar, andererseits sind Mißbildungen in diesem Bereich im Gesamtspektrum diagnostizierter Entwicklungsanomalien numerisch immer an erster Stelle genannt (Winter 1981; Hobbins et al. 1983; Hansmann et al. 1985). Auch im eigenen Untersuchungskollektiv stehen Mißbildungen im Bereich des zentralen Nervensystems an erster Stelle (s. Tabelle 2.5).
