Zusammenfassung

Es handelt sich um eine neuromuskuläre Erkrankung der glatten Oesophagusmuskulatur. Wichtige Kennzeichen sind das Fehlen der Peristaltik im Speiseröhrenkörper und eine Unfähigkeit des unteren Oesophagussphincters zur schluckreflektorischen Erschlaffung.
