Zusammenfassung

Die seit langem bekannten Organe mit endokriner Funktion sind Hypophyse, Thyreoidea, Parathyreoidea, Pankreas, Nebennierenrinde, Nebennierenmark und Gonaden. Dazu kommen celluläre Strukturen mit endokrinen Leistungen: (1) Zellen im Hypothalamus (Bildung von „releasing factors“, Kap. 14), (2) Zellen des Magen-Darm-Traktes (Bildung von Gewebshormonen, Kap. 26) sowie im vorliegenden Kapitel (3) juxtaglomerulärer Apparat der Niere und Organe mit nicht gesicherter endokriner Funktion (4) Epiphyse, (5) Thymus, (6) Milz.
