Elektroschrott ist ein rapide wachsender, faszinierender Abfallstrom. Allein 2018 fielen weltweit geschätzte 50 Millionen Tonnen neuen Elektroschrotts an, so die Schätzungen (Baldé et al. 2015, S. 8). Dieser Abfall ist schwer zu verarbeiten und oft giftig.
