Dieses Kapitel soll das notwendige Grundverständnis zum Stuttgarter Fahrzeugdynamikprüfstand (englisch: Handling Roadway – HRW) schaffen. Zunächst wird hierzu in Abschnitt 2.1 der HRW ausführlich vorgestellt und der aktuelle Stand der Technik dieses Prüfstands aufgezeigt. Hierbei werden die wesentlichen Komponenten, Subsysteme, Funktionsweisen und Schnittstellen kurz erläutert.
