Psychotherapeutic self-organization in the healing, biomedical and biopsychosocial model – An evidence-based practice perspective

Zusammenfassung

The understanding of human health and how health can be influenced by health-professionals has dramatically changed over the past three hundred years within “westernized/industrialized” societies and maybe even faster across the world (e.g., Selin and Shapiro 2003; Wampold and Imel 2015; Wampold et al. 2018). This dramatic change resulted in the co-existence of at least three predominant frameworks of how health is understood in general and mental health more specifically. All three stereotypical models make particular dogmatic assumptions about the patients` roles and related self-organizing processes (for an overview see Tab. 1).
