Abstract
The title of this chapter is provocative because it assumes that that German-Polish cooperation in field of Eastern policy exists. In fact, while Germany and Poland do have certain common interests, cooperation between them is overshadowed by competition in all their relations with the East, primarily with Russia. The influence of the United States is clearly visible in Poland’s support for all US initiatives and activities on the international arena, though it does not directly affect Poland’s engagement in EU projects concerning Eastern countries such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
