Zusammenfassung
Die aktuelle Psychologie sei in der Hölle angekommen – so konstatieren einige Stimmen aus der Disziplin selbst, die öffentlichkeitswirksam im kritischen Wissenschaftsblog Neuroskeptic (2012) ein Forum finden. Grund für diese infernale Verortung ist die Replikationskrise, welche die Psychologie 2011 erfasste und seitdem zu immer weiter reichenden Kontroversen über psychologische Forschungsmethoden führt. Nicht weniger dramatisch klingt eine weitere aktuelle Kritik der Psychologie, die jedoch eine ganz andere Stoßrichtung hat: Psychologie, das sei das „moderne Opium des Volkes“, argumentieren außerdisziplinäre Kritiker wie der Rechts- und Sozialwissenschaftler Albert Krölls (2016).
