Abstract

This chapter provides an introduction to the concepts that are relevant for this study and builds its theoretical framework. It starts with a brief overview of the development of migration entrepreneurship research and the prominent explanatory approaches. Then, the concepts of embeddedness and social capital are introduced and discussed in relation to migrant entrepreneurship.
