Zusammenfassung
Warum gestaltet sich die Schnittstelle zwischen der Unternehmensstrategie oft als so schwierig? Ursache dafür finden wir in dem Umstand, dass es weder das strategische Management noch das Personalmanagement gibt. Nach über 50 Jahren intensiver Forschung und Diskussion finden wir keinen Konsens darüber, wie das strategische Management sein Ziel erreicht, die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit des Unternehmens zu sichern. Die Diskussion wird dadurch erschwert, dass in den meisten Fällen nur ein sehr partieller Blick auf den Aufbau und den Erhalt des Wettbewerbsvorteils geworfen wird, viele der getroffenen Annahmen implizit bleiben. Auch beim Personalmanagement treffen wir auf sehr unterschiedliche Auffassungen darüber, welche Ziele das Personalmanagement verfolgt, wer das Personalmanagement konkret durchführt, wer die Kunden des Personalmanagements im Unternehmen sind. In Folge treffen wir sowohl auf der linken als auch rechten Seite der Schnittstelle auf ein hohes Maß an Heterogenität. Dies können wir als Ursache für die an Schwierigkeit identifizieren, eine Verbindung zwischen den Bereichen herzustellen.
