Abstract

Although Roberts gave this statement about three decades ago, the meaning behind it is nowadays as applicable as the day it was published. Technology continues to play an important role in companies’ competitive advantage and technology management (TM) is still challenging, although these challenges have changed, particularly as a result of digitization (Demirkan et al., 2016). Thus, TM remains a factor in the realization of digitization-enabled innovation.
