Zusammenfassung
Seit den 70er Jahren ist der Dienstleistungssektor die dominante Wirtschaftskraft in Deutschland. Der technologische Fortschritt und allem voran die Digitalisierung beschleunigen diese Entwicklung gerade in den letzten Jahren. Die digitale Transformation eröffnet Dienstleistern und solchen Unternehmen, die es werden wollen, zahlreiche Chancen. Denn die neuen Technologien ermöglichen Unternehmen, u. a. mit Kunden unabhängig von Ort und Zeit zu interagieren, Daten über ihre Kunden zu sammeln, diese Informationen schließlich für eine verstärkte Personalisierung der Kommunikation und Leistungsangebote zu nutzen und dabei die Produktivität sowie Profitabilität zu erhöhen. In diesem Beitrag wird die Rolle der Technologien und insbesondere der Plattformökonomie diskutiert. Darüber hinaus wird die Entwicklung der Dienstleistungsmarketingforschung skizziert und aufgezeigt, inwiefern dabei Technologien Berücksichtigung fanden.
