Abstract

The relevance of innovation for economic growth allows a multitude of different research on this topic. For adapting to the future, it is undeniable that innovation is the main driver for the globalized digitalization. Patents as innovation indicator are a readily available measure and thus often cited for modeling the innovation situation and dynamics.
