Das Edelmetallpreisrisiko zählt als spezielles Rohwarenrisiko zu den Marktpreisrisiken. Das Edelmetallpreisrisiko ist die Gefahr der negativen Abweichung zwischen tatsächlichem und erwartetem Erfolg aus Geschäften mit Edelmetallen infolge veränderter Preise am Markt für Edelmetalle. Dem Währungsrisiko vergleichbar treten Edelmetallpreisrisiken bei (insbesondere betraglich) offenen Positionen auf.
