Abstract

In this chapter, the analytical fundamentals for the comprehensions of landscape in the German-speaking regions illustrated in the following chapters will be presented. In addition, the theoretical framing of the investigation (constructivism) is presented and its rational explained. Since language is of great significance in the social fabric of the world, its connection to the theme of ‘landscape’ will be discussed in more detail.
