Zusammenfassung
The arrival of asylum seekers and refugees renders the already ambivalent position of European receiving countries increasingly untenable. On the one hand, these countries exert themselves to assert their sovereignty and territoriality. On the other hand, they attempt to comply with the asylum right, albeit with increasing reluctance.
