Abstract

To examine the reasons of an event in total, it is important to look behind the front. Key performance indicators (KPIs), annual accounts or other numerical values alone do not always tell the whole story. The aim of this thesis is to examine the motives and factors that led to decisions and developments regarding the downfall of large German listed companies.
