Zusammenfassung
In Italy, the remote gambling legal framework has been set up progressively since 2000, starting from the need to regulate a telematic offer within betting shops then urged by the pressure of the European Commission infringement procedures to reach finally a full set of modern regulations in 2009 dedicated to remote gambling. However, Political debate and recently introduced measures such as the blanket gambling advertising and sponsorship ban are seriously jeopardizing the success of this legal framework.
