Abstract

Mainstream welfare research has rarely discussed the importance of housing in a welfare state (Delfani, De Deken & Dewilde, 2014). On the other hand, housing research is considerably influenced by welfare research (Hoekstra, 2013). The role of housing in a welfare state, however, has been debated controversially among housing researchers. This thesis contributes to its clarification.
