Zusammenfassung
Die wesentlichen psychologischen Entwicklungskonzepte enthalten neben psychoanalytischen (vgl. Mertens, 1994, S. 27ff.) vor allem kognitionspsychologische und sozial-kognitive Perspektiven (vgl. Trautner, 2008, S. 644ff.; Tillmann, 2010, S. 74). Die Erklärungsansätze beschreiben unterschiedliche Faktoren, die in ihrem Zusammenspiel die Ausprägung der Geschlechtsidentität beeinflussen. Die Psychoanalyse hebt die Bedeutung primärer familiärer Bezugspersonen hervor und beschreibt die Psyche als komplexe innere Wirklichkeit.
