Abstract
As the previous chapter shows, the picture of media accountability in Latin America remains fragmented. Thus, it is necessary to conduct an exploratory study in order to generate profound and detailed knowledge to fill the gaps. To this end, a combination of different methodological approaches, as well as of deductive and inductive procedures is appropriate.
