Zusammenfassung
Der Begriff „digitale Transformation“ ist in aller Munde. Dies ist nicht weiter verwunderlich, da diese nahezu alle Brachen betrifft und sich vielfach in sehr unterschiedlichen Zukunftserwartungen widerspiegelt. Daher konnte das Thema des AKAD Forums 2017 „Digitale Transformation = Soziale Revolution? Ökonomische, kulturelle, gesellschaftliche und technologische Perspektiven“ wohl nicht aktueller gewählt werden.

Der seiner Natur nach unsichere Charakter jeglicher Strategien beruht laut Mintzberg (2013) hauptsächlich auf den drei „Trugschlüssen“ der strategischen Planung. Kurz zusammengefasst beschreiben diese das Faktum, dass erstens die Zukunft prinzipiell nicht prognostizierbar ist (fallacy of prediction), dass es zweitens eine Kluft zwischen abstrakter Strategieformulierung des Managements und der operativen Umsetzung gibt (fallacy of detachment) und dass drittens Strategien in dynamischen Umfeldern niemals formalisiert werden können (fallacy of formalization).
