Zusammenfassung
Die ersten Versuche, Führungstypen auf einer präzisen soziologischen Basis herauszuarbeiten, stammen von Max Weber. Weber (1972) entwickelt seine Führungstypologie vor dem Hintergrund des Charismabegriffs. Charisma bedeutet soviel wie „Gnadengeschenk“. Die Diskussion über charismatische Führungsstile ist im Rahmen der so genannten Assessment-Center-Bewegungen durch Autoren wie House (1977, S. 189-207) neu aufgekommen.
