Zusammenfassung
Moderne Kraftfahrzeuge müssen aufgrund von immer strenger werdender Abgasgesetzgebung möglichst effizient betrieben werden. Daher ist es notwendig, alle im Fahrzeug auftretenden Energieströme im Sinne eines umfassenden Energiemanagements zu optimieren. Die Energieströme sind mechanischer, chemischer, elektrischer und thermischer Natur. Diese Aufzählung ist bereits ein Indiz für die weitreichenden Aufgaben, die hier zu bewältigen sind. Fahrzeugthermomanagement versteht sich als eine Kategorie innerhalb des Energiemanagements und befasst sich mit der effizienten Verteilung und Nutzung thermischer Energie. In Abb. 31.1 ist beispielhaft die Verteilung aller Energieströme in einem Hybridfahrzeug dargestellt.
Der Begriff Thermomanagement wird in der Motoren‑ und Fahrzeugentwicklung oftmals in unterschiedlichen Zusammenhängen verwendet. Daher soll hier eine begriffliche Abgrenzung vorgenommen, beziehungsweise Entwicklungsbereiche aufgezählt werden, in welchen der Begriff häufig verwendet wird. Im vorliegenden Kapitel wird nach der begrifflichen Abgrenzung auf die in Abschn. 31.1.1 beschriebenen Inhalte vertiefend eingegangen.
