Zusammenfassung

Die zahlreichen geplanten und durchgeführten islamistisch-terroristischen Anschläge innerhalb der letzten drei Jahre in Europa und Deutschland haben den Grad der Bedrohung verdeutlicht, die aktuell und zukünftig von islamistischen Terroristen für Europa und Deutschland ausgeht. Dennoch besteht weiterhin ein eklatantes Analysevakuum im Bereich islamistischer Terrorismus und Terrorismusabwehr, sowohl innerhalb der Wissenschaft als auch innerhalb der Sicherheitsbehörden. Spätestens die zahlreichen seit 2015 ausgeführten islamistisch-terroristischen Anschläge und Attentate in Deutschland und anderen Staaten der Europäischen Union sollten bzw. müssen eine Zeitenwende der Betrachtung und Analyse des Phänomenbereiches islamistischer Terrorismus und Terrorismusabwehr auslösen.
