Abstract
The European commission regularly announces research calls, under the name of Active and Healthy Ageing (AHA), to tackle the challenges of an ageing society with innovative health care products and services for older people. Increasingly, projects focus the development of ICT-based interventions for the support of AHA in older people. Such projects are expected to yield solutions that promote sustainability in AHA in the form of long-term use, integration into daily routines and effectiveness in improving health.
