Zusammenfassung

In diesem Kapitel sollen Persönlichkeitsmerkmale von Amokläufern analysiert werden, um mögliche Ursachen für die Entstehung eines School Shootings zu identifizieren. Was wissen wir über die Person der Täter? Was kennzeichnet sie? Können psychische Störungen das Auftreten von Amokläufen erklären? Und lassen sich dadurch potenzielle Amokläufer rechtzeitig erkennen, um künftige Taten zu verhindern? Es wird zunächst ein Überblick über die Forschung zur Persönlichkeit von Amokläufern und deren Herausforderungen vermittelt. Anschließend werden Persönlichkeitsmerkmale, klinische Merkmale und soziale Merkmale von Amokläufern beschrieben und als mögliche Ursachen und Einflussfaktoren für deren Handeln diskutiert.
